Your recognized expertise in the field of swine health and production makes you an ideal reviewer for this work. We would greatly appreciate your evaluation of the manuscript in terms of its relevance, scientific and technical quality, clarity and structure, originality and novelty, significance and impact to the objectives of IPVS 2026.
With the upcoming congress drawing near, we would like to take this opportunity to share a brief overview of the key guidelines for scientific reviewers.
The scientific reviewers are responsible for the well-qualified reviewing and approving process for academic publications to ensure the quality and creativity of scientific works, and establish the standards for evaluating oral presentations. Please read the guidelines below for an insight to the best practices about how to review and approve the scientific publications.
GUIDELINES FOR REVIEWERS
A. Start of the reviewing task
Instructions for Review Submission: To complete and submit your review, please follow the steps below carefully:
- Log in to your reviewer account (previously created by the Scientific Committee and announced via email) at https://coms.app/ipvs2026/welcome.html.
- From your account homepage, navigate to “Review > Your Review Assignments” and select the title of the assigned abstract to begin your evaluation.
- Conduct your review by selecting “Edit the review”. Please read the abstract details thoroughly and provide your evaluation using the review form provided.
– Please kindly note that the Scientific Committee can only receive your review through the online platform.
+ The “Comment” box: is for messages addressed to the Scientific Committee.
+ The “Feedback for Submitter” box: is for comments intended for the authors to revise their abstract. Please ensure that all feedback for the submitter is placed here in sufficient detail for the authors to understand and revise accordingly.
– Comments submitted via Word files or email cannot be incorporated into the review system.
- You may save your progress at any time by clicking “Save” (this allows you to return and edit your review later). However, once you tick the checkbox “This review is complete.” and click “Save”, your review will be finalized and automatically submitted to the reviewer supervisor (administrator).
- After confirming that your evaluation is complete, please tick the checkbox “This review is complete.” and click “Save” to formally submit your final review.
- If you have forgotten your password, please click “Forgot your password?” on the login page.
B. Peer review process
Generally, all submitted manuscripts will be carefully reviewed by assigned reviewers by The Scientific Committee/Editor-in-Chief through several steps (below-provided editorial workflow) for final decision to have the best-qualified abstract. Basic process of peer review as following chart:
C. Criteria for selection of abstracts
The accepted manuscripts need to meet the following criteria:
(1). Relevance to the IPVS2026 Conference Theme
– It should be aligned with the main topics or focus areas of the IPVS2026.
– It needs to be innovative, or addressing a key challenge in the field associated with the IPVS2026.
(2). Scientific and Technical Quality
– It must be a kind of academic manuscript (not commercial one as advertisements for commercial products) containing rigour Scientifc level.
– It requires to have the sound and appropriate methodology.
– It needs to be stated clearly the objectives.
– The results or figures need to be credible, measurable, and well-explained.
(3). Originality and Novelty
– Scientific logic, integrity and coherence
– It needs to present new data and ideas with previous publications
– It ensures to not overlap with previous studies in terms of data and content
(4). Clarity and Structure
– It requires a well-written abstract with logical flow.
– It needs to be corrected format as the IPVS2026 guideline.
(5) Significance and Impact
– It needs to have practical implications, and scientific contribution to the targeted field of the IPVS2026.
->The evaluation follows a 5-point scoring system for each criterion (Table 1). For each criterion, a score of 1 indicates insufficient, 2 indicates fair, 3 denotes good, 4 represents very good, and 5 reflects excellent performance.
To be accepted for presentation at the IPVS 2026 Conference, an abstract must obtain a minimum average score of 3, or all evaluation criteria must receive a score at 3 or higher.

D. During the reviewing task
The review report must be prepared in English. We have listed some general instructions regarding the review report for your consideration below.
Return a review within the proposed or mutually agreed time-frame, informing the Editor/Scientific committee promptly if You require an extension.
Conduct fairly and objectively.
Please ensure your comments are detailed so that the authors may correctly understand and address the points you raise.
Please maintain a neutral tone and focus on providing constructive criticism that will help the authors improve their work.
E. Guidelines for giving comments to authors
Comments from reviewers will be submitted to the Editor/Scientific committee through the Platform. Your comments should constructive and designed to enhance the abstract.
– Make your comments clear and detail as possible (including strengths, weaknesses and relevance, …).
– Keep in mind that your feedback will help the authors to improve their abstract “manuscript”. So general and specific comments should be required.
F. Peer review recommendations to the Scientific Committee/ Editor Board
You will be asked to indicate your recommendation (e.g., accept, revise, or reject) and provide comments in the system.
- Accept: Outline reasons for acceptance and note any minor areas for improvement.
- Revise: Specify the changes required (major or minor) and state whether you wish to re-review the revised version.
- Reject: Where the manuscript has serious flaws, note the main reasons for rejection.
- Reviewers may also recommend abstracts for oral presentation if appropriate.
IMPORTANT NOTES: For Reviewers
– Please DO NOT tick the checkbox labeled “This review is complete” unless you are certain that your evaluation is final. Once this box is checked and saved, your review will be automatically submitted, and further editing will no longer be possible (as indicated in Steps 4 and 5 of the reviewing instructions above “Start of the reviewing task”).
– Please kindly note that the Scientific Committee can only receive your review through the online platform. Comments submitted via Word files or email can not be incorporated into the review system.
– It is important to note that Reviewers also suggest to the scientific committee which manuscript should be selected for the Oral presentation.
– We kindly request your review within 7 days of receiving this invitation. If you are willing to review but require additional time, please contact us at abstract@ipvs2026.vn as soon as possible.
